Who’s to blame if Astros arent on TV?

As the NBA season nears its halfway point most Houston Rockets fans are still unable to watch their team play on television. Astros fans could suffer the same fate if the new Regional Sports Network doesn’t reach an agreement with satellite and cable TV providers. Last week an article by Jeff Balke suggested the Astros had blocked an earlier deal between CSN Houston and DirecTV.

Much has been written on the subject, including an interview I did back in November with CSN Houston’s Rich Bocchini. Today David Barron of the Chronicle penned a story refuting Jeff Balke’s report and shedding more light on the subject.
