Attention, Astros fans! Houston is looking at Atlanta Braves C/OF, Evan Gattis. Bob Nightengale of USA Today broke the news on Twitter:

Gattis, a Texas native, has played 2 seasons with the Braves, primarily as a catcher. However he has also played left field.

His stat line looks like .253 BA/.304 OBP/.487 SLG with 43 HRs.

Updates on trade from Joel Sherman of the New York Post:

If this trade is finalized, P Mike Foltynewicz, 3B Rio Ruiz, and P Andrew Thurman are going to Atlanta.  Foltynewicz pitched in 16 games for Houston in 2014, recording 14Ks and a 5.30 ERA. Ruiz was a 4th round pick in the 2012 draft, and was regarded as a top 3B prospect.

You may remember, but a few weeks ago, Jason Burke of CTH was asked Who is Better: Ruiz or Moran? A pertinent question at the time and a good piece to read again in light of this trade deal.

What are your thoughts, Astros fans?
