Arizona Fall League Opening Day
The 2012 Arizona Fall League is underway! This year the Astros are aligned with the Mesa Solar Sox. Houston is well-represented, on a team that features prospects from not only the Astros organization but also the Orioles, Cubs, Tigers, and Dodgers.
The Astros are sending several of the organization’s top prospects. The AFL will afford these youngsters some valuable experience. At the same time, it will give the Astros a chance to see how these players are progressing. Is Player A on track? Is Player B behind schedule? Is Player C ready to move up to the next level? Is Player D fully recovered from a serious injury? The Fall League should provide us with answers to these questions.
