There was no bigger performance to start the World Series than Kyle Tucker's Game 1 explosion at the plate. Three of the four total hits Kyle Tucker recorded in the World Series came in Game 1, two of which came via the home run. Tucker drove in four of the Astros five runs on two long balls. His solo shot in the second inning traveled 359 feet and the three-run blast in the third traveled 395 feet, giving the Astros a 5-0 lead.

The Astros had a hot start to Game 2 as well, with three leadoff doubles from Altuve, Peña and Alvarez coming in the first four pitches. The three run lead proved more than enough for a hot Framber Valdez. The lead was padded with a fifth inning Alex Bregman bomb that was launched 405 feet to left center, scoring two.
No-no to Even the Series
The turning point of the World Series came in Game 4. The Phillies held a 2-1 series lead, but Cristian Javier stepped up and, along with three of his bullpen mates ,made history. On November 2, 2022 Cristian Javier combined with Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero and Ryan Pressly to throw only the second no hitter in World Series history. Javier struck out nine over six innings, and the Astros cruised to a 5-0 victory to tie the series back at 2-2.
The Catch
There were two pivotal moments in Game 5 of the Astros run that broke the back of the Phillies' players and fans alike. World Series MVP Jeremy Pena's home run in the top of the fourth inning to gave the Astros both a 2-1 lead and the needed momentum to finish the game strong. The final straw that broke the camel's back, however, was "The Catch." In the bottom of the ninth inning with one out, Chas McCormick planted against the fence after leaping to save a triple and keep the game-tying run off of the bases. All Phillies' hopes were diminished and the series was headed back to Houston.
Yordan Enters Orbit
Game 6 of the World Series left fans in suspense until Yordan Alvarez's biggest hit of the playoffs. After the score had been tied most of the game, the Phillies took the lead in the top of the sixth inning. The Astros needed to come from behind 1-0 to clinch the World Series title. Yordan Alvarez's moment came in the bottom of the sixth with one out and runners on first and third. The 2-1 pitch came and Alvarez sent it to the moon, traveling 450 feet to dead center over the batter's eye and sending Astros fans into orbit! The game was closed out by the Astros dominant bullpen. Kyle Tucker recorded the final out on a fly ball down the right field line to end the game and bring back the championship trophy back to Houston!
