Astros Game Today: Astros vs Braves Lineup, Odds, Prediction, Pick, Pitcher, TV Channel for October 29
The Houston Astros won Game 2 of the World Series, as it was their first home World Series win since Game 5 of the 2017 series. The Atlanta Braves are going to their final starter available with young right-hander Ian Anderson for Game 3.
Anderson has never faced the Astros in his two-year career, but after two remarkable seasons up to this point, the right-hander has also been reliable in the postseason.
Over the last two Octobers, Anderson has a 1.47 ERA over 30.2 innings (seven starts). The righty hasn’t shown any sense of slowing down either with 36 strikeouts. The Astros will have to try and knock out Anderson early and capitalize on walks and any contact they get.
Anderson’s peripherals don’t look promising from the regular season, while being in the 20th percentile of Barrel Percentage and in the 28th percentile for Walk Percentage. The right-hander can tick up his velocity average, but with not a lot of spin behind his arsenal, he doesn’t get a lot of chase from opponents.

Astros Pitcher Today: Luis Garcia
While trading places in the rotation with Jose Urquidy, Luis Garcia gets his first 2021 World Series start on the road rather than his last two starts of a series at home. The right-hander is more accustomed to strikeouts and groundouts, making more sense for the fly ball pitcher Urquidy starting in the smaller ballpark in Houston.
Yordan Alvarez could likely pick up starts in left field, even with the deeper dimensions and Urquidy not likely to pitch until Game 6, if necessary. Garcia has never faced the Braves in his short-career thus far.

Braves vs. Astros Prediction Today
The Astros have had home-field advantage in every postseason series thus far and have yet to win their first game on the road. Backed behind the Braves’ last line of defense in the rotation, Anderson, they will take Game 3 with a crowd that hasn’t seen a World Series game since 1999 roaring behind them.
