AL Rookie of the Year — Francis Martes

Bregman and Joe Musgrove would be easy choices if not for the fact that they exhausted their rookie statuses last season. A.J. Reed exhausted his rookie status last year as well. That leaves Francis Martes as the clear choice.

Martes’ chances here depend on how quickly he gets to the majors. If he gets called up no later than early June, he’s got a good shot to merit consideration. With his talent, he certainly has the ability to take the league by storm when he gets here.
