It is a tough transition into the big leagues for many rookie pitchers. After a pretty seamless transition in his first couple of outings, Musgrove has not put up fantasy worthy numbers.

His last start against the Cubs this weekend showed some promise. In six innings of work, Musgrove gave up two earned runs on three hits and three walks against one of the top offenses in baseball. He also struck out five in that contest.

In his outings against his next opponent, the Texas Rangers, Musgrove has done okay. In 11.1 innings of work, he has given up six earned runs on 13 hits and two walks. He has also struck out nine in those starts.

These games are hard to predict down the stretch, especially for Musgrove. However, the Astros need him to be on his A-game in such an important series. That will be valuable for fantasy owners if he can do exactly that.
