"Reliever Pat Neshek, pursued by #Pirates, signs with #Astros for two years, $12.5 million, pending physical. Gets to stay in FLA for spring. — Derrick Goold (@dgoold) December 10, 2014"
These moves solidify the Astros bullpen, and also don’t break the bank. With Gregerson making $6M next season, and Neshek signing for 2 years/$12.5M, that still leaves a little nugget of cash to spend in other areas. What’s most important is that the Astros league-worst bullpen is improved, and the goal of reaching .500 next season is perfectly feasible. For more on why both of these moves make sense, I actually just wrote about each of these players this morning.
First, Luke Gregerson.
Pat Neshek’s went up in the middle of the night, so here is the link to that one as well.
How excited are youright now? 2015 just got awhole lot more interesting forAstros fans!
