Corpus Christi Hooks playing at Minute Maid Park Tuesday

The Astros AA affiliate Corpus Christi Hooks invade Minute Maid Park this Tuesday evening. The Hooks will be taking on the San Antonio Missions in Texas League action. What’s being billed as “The Astros Futures Game” includes 10* players (5 from each team) who were selected for the 2014 Texas League All-Star Game.

The Hooks – Missions clash marks the first time a Texas League regular season game has been played at MMP. San Antonio knocked the Hooks out in the first round of the playoffs last season en route to the Texas League Championship. Both teams are still trying to find their way this season, battling to stay right around the .500 mark.

Make no mistake about it. Minor league baseball is a different product than what fans are used to seeing at MMP, even considering the way the Astros have played the last three seasons. But it is still a great product. And, what a deal the Astros are offering! Any seat in the park is only $10 and parking is free. Game time is 6:10.

Mike Hauschild, who is 1-1 with a  2.67 ERA in five starts since being promoted from Lancaster, gets the start for Corpus Christi.

The five Hooks players selected for the All-Star team are as follows:
