The 2014 MLB schedule was released today and the Houston Astros are still in the American League. The fans’ demands for the team to be returned to the N.L. have fallen on deaf ears. And, despite another 100 loss season, the franchise will not be demoted to AAA. But… seriously though. The schedule is out and here’s an early look at what’s in store in 2014.

The ‘Stros will open the 2014 season the same way they close out the 2013 campaign, at home against the New York Yankees. Interesting. The Astros’ 2014 season will come to a close in New York against the Mets. Coincidence?

The interleague schedule includes the Nationals, Diamondbacks, and Braves in the first half. After the All-Star Break the Astros will face the Marlins and Phillies before finishing out the year at Citi Field against the Mets.

Astros beat writer Brian McTaggart has posted the schedule in its entirety. Click on the link below to view. Game times have yet to be determined.
