Astros FanFest is tomorrow at Minute Maid Park and admission is free! Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and the fun lasts until 6:00 p.m.
FanFest is a family oriented event that includes autograph sessions, carnival games, on-field activities, memorabilia sales, and much more. Young fans will have the chance to run the bases, get a face-painting, and enjoy storybook time with legendary Astros announcer Milo Hamilton.
Activities for the more serious fan include a question & answer session and a chance to take batting practice on the field. Brad Mills and Bud Norris will participate in the Q & A session that will also be available online at Astros.com live at 2:30. Batting practice sessions are limited and will cost $15. Some autograph sessions will also include an admission fee. One autograph session will feature current players including new Astros Jed Lowrie and Chris Snyder. Past Astros players including J.R. Richard, Bob Watson, and Larry Dierker will participate in autograph sessions as well.
Featured speakers at the event include Jeff Luhnow, George Postolos, and Jimmy Wynn (just to name a few.) Sneak previews of upcoming special events will also be detailed. Christie Miller and Alyson Footer will discuss upcoming giveaways and interactive programs for fans.
