Arizona Fall League starts without Jason Castro.

A rib cage injury is the latest setback for Astros catcher Jason Castro. The former first round pick has been replaced on the Salt River Rafters roster by Roberto Pena. Castro is expected to play in the AFL when healthy.

Astros sale still pending

Jim Crane is still waiting to have his purchase of the Astros approved by MLB. The deal has a November 30 expiration date that Crane says he will honor. If November 30 comes and the deal still hasn’t been approved Crane could walk away. A more likely scenario would be a renegotiation that would compensate Crane’s group if they are forced to move the team to the American League.

Astros fans stand united against a move to the A.L. Unfortunately our tweets and blogs are not being read by the power players who will ultimately decide the team’s fate. Please send a letter to Drayton McLane and/or Bud Selig to explain why the Astros should stay in the National League. Here are their addresses.
