Down On The Farm Recap

Today was a good day for Michael Foltynewicz. Our second first round pick in last year’s draft picked up his first professional win in his last outing, and was able to build off of that outing by winning his second in a row. Folty went 7 innings, allowed 5 hits, gave up 1 earned run, walked 2, and struck out 2. More important was his ability to induce the groundball in tonight’s outing by having a 9/2 GO/AO ratio for the game. Hopefully this is a sign that he is starting to put it all together and start flashing some of that top of the rotation potential.

Oklahoma City lost to Fresno 7-5

Douglas Arguello – 6 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO, HR, 4.79 ERA – He has struggled with his control a lot more this year than he did last year in Corpus.

Anderson Hernandez 2B – 2-5, .265 AVG

Max Ramirez C – 2-4, RBI, BB, .268 AVG – Watch out J.R. Towles. The ex-Ranger prospect could be ready if you can’t get it together.

Dallas Keuchel – 8 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO, 3.61 ERA – Pitched a very good game, but the offense couldn’t give him any support.

Yordany Ramirez – 1 IP, 2 SO, 6.23 ERA – Former outfielder turned pitcher. Hard thrower, but the results haven’t been there yet
