Blasting Off: The Departure of a Houston Hero

In the fifth edition of Blasting Off, Andy Pondillo and Ray Kuhn discussed which lineup/rotation Bo Porter will probably run out to start the season. Later on Larry Dierker joins Andy, just days after the announcement of his departure from the Houston Astros.

Larry Dierker has been a Houston fixture since the 60’s. Late last week it was announced he had parted ways with the Astros organization. Larry joined Andy to talk about what a manager looks for in Spring Training, the Comcast situation, and where Larry sees himself next.

Some of the other highlights include:

-The Astros roster is almost all set
-Ronny Cedeno has joined the Astros, is he a better option than Tyler Greene?
-Andy and Ray make their 2013 playoff predictions

Listen to all of this and more on the player below, fellow hill climbers! Stay tuned for our new episode next week, and feel free to tweet us questions at @astrosCTH.
