Houston Astros Podcast – Colby Rasmus Brings Playoff Hope

Andy Pondillo

On this special episode of #AstroChat, I break down the early happenings of the ALDS. Colby Rasmus and Dallas Keuchel have already made their mark as playoff heroes, but will it be enough? At the end of the series I explain why we will be happy with this effort win, lose or draw.

Also on the podcast:

-Why Scott Kazmir would not have received a postseason start if I’m managing.
-Don’t treat Lance McCullers like a 22 year-old in this postseason, he’s much more mature.
-Contributions have been spread around offensively, four to five runs against Kansas City is more than enough.
-The bullpen’s woes mean the starting pitchers have to all be asked to be aces in postseason play.

I'm Andy Pondillo, I'm a national sports producer for Yahoo Sports Radio. I have been a diehard baseball and Astros fan since 1997. I couldn't have picked a better year to start watching the 'Stros. With the team rebuilding and in some confusion, it is now my voice that will bring them back to contention! Just kidding of course, I think.
