]]> The season has finally come to an end for Astros prospects playing in the Arizona Fall League. The AFL Championship game will be played Saturday and, unlike last year, the team featuring players from the Houston organization won’t be involved. The Peoria Javelinas and the Salt River Rafters will square off Saturday afternoon in Scottsdale in the AFL title game. Salt River is trying to make it back-to-back championships. Last season’s Rafters team featured an Astros contingent that included Jason Castro and Dallas Keuchel, among others.

]]> Astros prospect George Springer had another big game Saturday in Arizona Fall League action. Springer followed up Friday’s two homerun game with three more hits, including a double and a triple. Springer’s seventh inning single drove in a pair of runs as the Solar Sox plated seven in the frame to take the lead. Mesa would go on to beat Peoria 11-8.
