Dexter Fowler out with stomach bug

Astros centerfielder Dexter Fowler is not in tonight’s lineup due to a stomach bug. Houston’s hottest hitter was too sick to even make it to the ballpark.

Fowler, acquired during the offseason in a trade with the Rockies, has scored a first inning run in all three of the Astros games this season and is hitting .500. Dexter joins Jason Castro, who was hit by a pitch last night resulting in a foot contusion, on the “day-to-day” list. That means the Astros are without two of their best bats tonight against the Angels.

Fear not, Astros fans. Alex Presley and Carlos Corporan are ready to step in and take charge. Here’s the lineup Bo Porter sends out tonight against Garrett Richards and the 0-3 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Let’s see what Lucas Harrell can do against a team that he has had some recent success against. Last season Harrell held the Angels to a .239 batting average in three starts covering 17 & 2/3 innings. Lucas got no-decisioned in all three of those starts. He held the Angels to only four runs but also gave up three homers.
