If you watched Friday night’s Astros game against the Phillies you may have seen Fox Sports Houston’s Fan of the Game, Linda Beltran. Linda (no relation to Carlos) completed her tour of all 30 MLB venues with last night’s visit to Minute Maid Park. This young lady has lived out a dream that many baseball fans share, and she did it her way.

Unlike some who have set out to visit every stadium in record-setting time, Miss Beltran took the time to enjoy her travels and the people she met along the way. Linda has chronicled her journey in her blog; A Girl and the Game. Her last three stops have yet to be posted, but we’re sure that Minute Maid Park will rank higher on her list than that other orange juice monikered stadium.

Linda’s love of the game is priceless and her blog is a must read. Some of the more interesting entries are the ones about Japan, and the one time she made the mistake of cheering for the visiting team, in Philadelphia.

Linda confirms everything we’ve heard about Philly fans… and then some. Talk about some real a-holes, jeez!

Linda noted last night that the Astros were the thirtieth MLB team she had seen play a game in their home ballpark. But there are still more stops remaining on the journey. Linda has yet to visit the New Yankee Stadium or Marlins Park in Miami. Those two ballparks were constructed after she saw the Yankees and Marlins play in their old digs.

I’m sure she’s already planning her trips to New York and Miami. Have fun, Linda! We are all quite envious.
