I think saying that Kvasnicka has been a huge bust is a little too harsh on Kvasnicka's first full season in the system. Was it a disappointment, yes, but only because he was billed as a pure hitter and he was old for the level. The power wasn't there, but his slash line was respectable, and scouts still like his swing. I agree that he should not have been moved off of catcher. The reality is if Kvas could have played averagish defense behind the dish this year then he would have been considered to have an above average bat for the position and would probably be viewed as one of our top prospects, but as a third baseman his production has been below average so far. This season will be a big year for them. I'm hoping that Heck and co saw something in his defense at catcher and thought that he would not be able to stay there, because if they moved him to third because of necessity then that is a very short sided and hindering move.

The world may never know.
