When Jim Crane was introduced as the Astros new owner back in November, he promised to make Astros fans a top priority. A news conference is set for 4:00 to announce the Astros new “fan friendly initiatives.” Stay tuned to CTH as we will be preparing a response to these new “initiatives.”

Doug Fung provides a graphic look at the Astros “window to win” at his SB Nation blog.

Chip Bailey ponders the first pick in the June Draft and provides a link to Jonathan Mayo’s top 50 prospects.

Mayo also ranks Jonathan Singleton as the #3 prospect among first-basemen and Delino DeShields Jr. #6 among second-basemen. His rankings from last year turned out to be pretty accurate. Let’s hope he’s right again on these two guys.

We’re still waiting to see who gets removed from the 40-man roster to make room for Chris Snyder. Maybe we can provide an update on that later today as well. Remember, my prediction is Enerio Del Rosario.

I had also predicted that Craig Tatum might pass through waivers and stay with the organization as a minor leaguer. That won’t be happening. Tatum was claimed today by the Arizona Diamondbacks. That’s the thing about predictions, they can’t all be winners. No big deal though, the addition of Chris Snyder (which came after my pontification) made Tatum expendable.
