And if he has another first half like he did last year, we could get another shot at the Michael Bourn trade that most of us complained about. @astrosince1975

If he falters, Bourgeois could be a fall-back option. Bourgeois is already 30 years old and doesn't really fit in with the youth movement. Schafer is only 25. The two actually have similar skill sets, speed being their best asset. Schafer is better defensively, but Bourgeois may be a better all around player. The Astros want to see if Schafer can reach his potential. Bourgeois is less likely to be the long-term solution in CF.
